This is the first I’ve heard of the changes!! And while I understand the reason (and know it’s better for baby and all that jazz), MENTALLY I sort of hate it. Even though it doesn’t really make one bit of difference – it’s not like I had grand plans to induce this pregnancy the day I hit 37 weeks (who are those people, btw??) – it’s just the principle of the thing. Which is why I still plan on kicking up my feet and announcing to the world (or at least myself) that I’ve reached full term at 37 weeks, new guidelines or not. ]]>Comment on Wah, Wah, Wahhhhhhhh by Doreen (MIL)http://finerpointsoflife.com/2013/10/24/wah-wah-wahhhhhhhh/#comment-476 Doreen (MIL)Thu, 24 Oct 2013 21:57:59 +0000http://finerpointsoflife.com/?p=671#comment-476“Bastard child in your belly”!!!!! I am definitely still clinging to the full term title. American Academy of Ob & Gyn is not taking that away from me!!! This is bullshit. Hahahahhaah – good call on erasing history on work computer. I’ve just started taking mine home every night so I’ll have it in case of labor! :) ]]>Comment on Wah, Wah, Wahhhhhhhh by ATAhttp://finerpointsoflife.com/2013/10/24/wah-wah-wahhhhhhhh/#comment-474 ATAThu, 24 Oct 2013 15:28:51 +0000http://finerpointsoflife.com/?p=671#comment-474trollop – lol. ]]>Comment on Third Trimester Things by Christahttp://finerpointsoflife.com/2013/10/17/laborpreparationfornaturalbirth/#comment-473 ChristaWed, 23 Oct 2013 21:04:52 +0000http://finerpointsoflife.com/?p=665#comment-473Girl, I am all over all this too. Raspberry leaf tea, evening primrose oil, dates – all part of my daily regimen now. We missed the October full moon, and she better not be so late that she comes on November’s full moon (that would be 5 days late, no thank you). Gahhhh but I know it’s possible. ]]>Comment on Third Trimester Things by Laurenhttp://finerpointsoflife.com/2013/10/17/laborpreparationfornaturalbirth/#comment-472 LaurenFri, 18 Oct 2013 05:17:32 +0000http://finerpointsoflife.com/?p=665#comment-472LOL! Can’t wait to hear your birth story :) They pretty much laughed at me at the hospital when I brought up the full moon, BUT several nurses told me they always seem to be busier when the pressure changes outside. Hmmm… One nurse also said “I can always tell when my patients have taken a class because of their fancy breathing”. LOL Hey, whatever works right?! I was a few days late so my mom decided to bring over homemade eggplant parm for dinner. Labor started around 9:30 that night ;) ]]>Comment on Third Trimester Things by Laurenhttp://finerpointsoflife.com/2013/10/17/laborpreparationfornaturalbirth/#comment-471 LaurenFri, 18 Oct 2013 01:29:12 +0000http://finerpointsoflife.com/?p=665#comment-471As someone who likes to plan ahead and is admittedly a bit of a control freak, I hate the thought that baby could come anytime between 37 and 42…ish… weeks. Why is there such a wide window?? I know nature runs its course and babies are bound to come out sometime, but wouldn’t it be nice to know the exact day (or at least week?)! I’ve just kind of been living in denial about it all, looking at my due date as THE DAY.

That being said, I’m totally bookmarking this post and am already thinking about brewing myself some red raspberry leaf tea. But do you really need to drink 4 cups a day in the later weeks for it to (supposedly) be effective? Seems like an awful lot…

And finally, you’re allowed to drive everyone around you crazy. Pregnancy is LOOOONG and those last few weeks are the longest of all. Hang in there!

I’ve said this from the beginning of you blogging your pregnancy and I’ll say it again– thank you for your honesty! It is so okay to drive people around you batshit insane– you’re growing a whole little person, my friend! I feel as though I would potentially also use that as ammo– “Oh, you think I’m overreacting? Are you growing a person? No? Okay then.”

Totally pointless, but fun. I wrote about doing a bunch of them before our gender prediction ultrasound: here. ]]>
